Draft for the owner to review before launch. It describes how this website works today. Have it checked against the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and your own practices.
What we collect
When you send a table request we collect your name, email, phone number, preferred date and time, number of guests and any special requests you choose to add.
Why
Only to respond to your request, confirm or suggest another time, and manage the booking.
Where it goes
Requests are emailed to the restaurant's own inbox through Google's Gmail service, and a copy may be kept in a private database (Supabase). These providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing unless you ask us to.
Spam protection
The form uses a hidden field and request rate limiting to block automated spam. We also store your browser type with the request for the same purpose.
Map
The map loads from Google only after you click “Show map”. Google's own privacy policy applies to it.
